Store safety measures implemented by DSW

As it starts to re-open almost 200 stores in the US and Canada DSW announced it will implement several safety measures

When arriving at a DSW location an associate will be at the entrance monitoring the number of people entering and exiting to maintain safe social distancing and imposing a maximum number of people inside the stores. Once inside the store, the client will be offered gloves, and hand sanitizer, if needed; face masks can be provided upon request.

DSW has announces that all stores have been properly cleaned and sanitising, and there will be signage, reminding people to stay six feet apart from others and indicating one-way traffic through the aisles. Try-on areas have been created with the design of spaces dedicated to this.

DSW has also implemented a credit card only payment, eliminating contact during check out. will not be placing merchandise in bags.

For returns, the customer will have to take the merchandise to a designated return line where it will be placed in a special area, sprayed with disinfectant at the end of the day and stored for a week before being returned to the sales floor.

The company also has implemented extra measures such as the contactless curb side pick-up (buy online and pick up at the store) and a 90-day standard policy.
