Skechers is not the top name to come to our head when it comes for sportswear giants, as are Nike, Adidas, New Balance or Under Armour.

However, the US-based brand had an impressive increase of 36.4% in its 2015 second-quarter net sales.

According to the NPD Group Skechers has surpassed Adidas to become the second-largest athletic-footwear company in the US, with a 5% share of the local market, compared with 4.6% for Adidas.

Nike is still the leader by far with a large share of 62% of the market.
