Maud Rascle appointed Managing Director of CTC

Following a three-month transition period, Maud Rascle has been appointed as the new General Director of the French leather, footwear and leather goods technical centre
Maud Rascle joined the organisation on the 5th of January 2026 as Deputy Managing Director. During the subsequent three-month transition period, she supported Françoise Nicolas, ensuring a structured handover of CTC’s strategic, operational and institutional responsibilities. She has since become Managing Director, taking up the position on the 1st of April.
“These first few months have given me a real sense of the breadth of our expertise and the diversity of our activities, as well as CTC’s unique position within the sector”, said the new General Director. Since joining the organisation, she has continued to prioritise the objectives set out in the 2024–2027 Objectives and Performance Agreement.
CTC’s strategy is structured around five key areas: accelerating the ecological and energy transition; supporting digital transformation and Industry 4.0; strengthening the sector’s resilience and expertise; facilitating regulatory compliance and market access; and promoting skills development and knowledge sharing across the industry.
Thanks to her background in the luxury and fashion industry, she is expected to bring experience gained in demanding environments and direct work with companies and their operational realities to the role. Based in Lyon since 1899, the centre helps companies in the leather, footwear, leather goods and glove-making industries overcome challenges relating to quality, innovation, performance and sustainable development.
“Today, my aim is to build on what has already been achieved while opening new opportunities for CTC. In this rapidly changing environment, we have the chance to enhance our capacity for innovation, adaptability, and impact when it comes to serving businesses”. “Only by working together can we continue to drive CTC forward and cement our position as a leading player in the sector”.
