JD joins forces with MattB Customs for exclusive designs
The British youth fashion retailer has partnered with MattB Customs to deliver distinct designs, starting with a duffle bag crafted from deconstructed trainers, merging artistry and sustainability
“As a brand, JD commits to offering cutting-edge design just as MattB Customs has a commitment to creating unique pieces that cannot be found anywhere else. We are so pleased to be able to welcome the MattB Customs team to the JD Family and work closely together to continue to share exclusive designs and content with our audience”, shared Eilish Anderson, Head of Influencer and Talent Marketing at JD.

JD Sports has announced a collaboration with Manchester-based footwear brand MattB Customs, known for its sneaker customisation. The partnership aims to provide JD customers with unique designs, starting with a distinctive duffle bag crafted from deconstructed JD trainers. The design repurposes materials such as leather, mesh and soles, showcasing a commitment to creativity and sustainability.

MattB Customs also commented on the partnership: “Having hosted a workshop at the JD Foundation x BLGC take-over and created unique designs for the brand at Longitude this year, I am so honoured to be taking my partnership with JD up a notch to make even bigger waves in the customs game. I am so grateful that JD has believed in me from the start, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds. This is only the beginning of some very exciting chapters to come”.

After completing his studies, he launched a studio in Manchester in 2020, which has since evolved into a leading customisation brand. His creations have attracted high-profile clients, including singer Ed Sheeran and rapper Meekz, and have led to collaborations with global brands such as Google, Netflix and Nike.
