Dr. Martens appoints former Nike executive as President of Americas Region

The UK-based footwear company has appointed Paul Zadoff, a former Nike executive, as President of the Americas, as part of its ongoing efforts to rebuild its business in the US
Paul Zadoff, who has spent 30 years working in the footwear, sporting goods and fashion industries, has joined Dr. Martens with the mandate to improve the performance, growth and profitability of the company’s business in the Americas, especially in the US. In fact, this appointment comes at a time when the company is revamping its strategy in response to declining wholesale sales and inventory and supply chain issues in the US.
“The brand already has a well-established footprint in the US, but there is vast untapped potential ahead across the Americas. I am incredibly excited to join Ije and the team to lead the next chapter of the brand’s growth”, commented Zadoff. The company operates 59 owned stores in the region and total sales account for nearly 40% of its revenue.
He is succeeding Jennifer Somer, who left the role in November 2024, and he will report to CEO Ije Nwokorie. “His experience leading teams, working in partnership with wholesale customers, building omnichannel businesses and driving growth at some of the world’s most recognizable brands will be hugely valuable”, the CEO said. “I look forward to working with Paul and have no doubt he will help to take our Americas business to another level”.
Zadoff was most recently Chief Operating Officer at the eyewear brand Caddis. He also spent two decades at Nike, where he held various roles in sales, product development and branding. He has also worked at Patagonia, Levi Strauss & Co., and the fitness company TRX Training.
