Concept Factory and CICB Sustainability Forum to be featured at Fimec 2024
In addition to the new products on display, the coming edition of Fimec aims to stand out for the learning spaces it offers its visitors. These include the Concept Factory and the CICB Sustainability Forum
The 47th edition of the Brazilian trade fair Fimec (International Fair of Leather, Chemicals, Components, Machines and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries), which will take place from the 12th to the 14th of March, has highlighted the areas of experience and knowledge that it will offer, particularly the Concept Factory and the CICB Sustainability Forum.
In addition to showcasing footwear production, the Concept Factory area, organized by the Brazilian Institute of Leather, Footwear and Artifact Technology (in partnership with Fenac and Coelho Assessoria Empresarial) will produce handbags for the first time – the two models have been designed by the footwear and accessories company Luz da Lua. Overall, a total of 1 600 pairs of shoes (created by Calçado Ramarim and Comfortflex) and 80 handbags will be produced.
Fimec will also host the CICB Sustainability Forum on the 13th of March, repeating the successful partnership initiated last year for the second time. This year’s event will focus on the topic “Links to Traceability”, bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, private companies and bodies from the meat and leather chain.
