Boot Barn achieves 500-store milestone

The California-based western and workwear retailer has exceeded its 500-store milestone, marking a major expansion across its national footprint
“Reaching our 500th store is a proud moment for all of us, from our store partners to our customers who have been loyal to us for close to five decades”, commented John Hazen, Chief Executive Officer, regarding the store in Middletown, New York.
This milestone coincides with the opening of several new stores across the US. These include locations in Killeen (Texas), East Peoria (Illinois), Phoenix (Arizona), Deptford (New Jersey), Indio (California) and Chandler (Arizona), as well as a symbolic return to Huntington Beach, where Boot Barn’s first store opened in 1978. It also highlights Boot Barn’s successful internal growth strategy in new markets, with a presence in 49 states.
Hazen added that it’s “a testament to our grit, dedication, and passion for what we do. Our stores are where we connect with our customers, and no matter how much we grow, our vision remains the same – to share a piece of the American spirit, one handshake at a time”.
As of the 21st of November, Boot Barn – a retailer of Western and work-related footwear, apparel, and accessories for men, women, and children – operated 504 stores.
