A'RCOPEDICO’s investment in retail

A'RCOPEDICO’s investment in retail
A new investment by the Portuguese-based brand, focusing on comfort shoes, should result in the opening of two new retail sites. One in Lisbon and the other in Seville (Spain)
A'RCOPEDICO’s distribution network includes seven stores, four of which in Spain. The company is now planning to open two new stores before the end of the year, both located in the Iberian Peninsula.

To Élio Parodi, the company’s Administrator, “the idea is to have 15 to 20 Arcopédico stores in the Iberian Peninsula. We haven’t established deadlines because it will all always depend on the opportunities coming up”, he commented, highlighting the current “exorbitant prices” of property. The choice for the location of the new stores will always tend to be in areas with a “strong touristic presence”.

New niche markets

To Ropar SA, the company owning the brand A'RCOPEDICO, innovation and looking for new clients are the two main principles behind the company's strategy.

Aligned with these principles, in 2016, the company launched Easy Walk Experience, a ballerina’s line destined to younger clients. In just one year, the brand has registered revenue of half million euros. However, the goal is to reach, in five years, revenue of approximately 40 million euros.

The company, based in Vila do Conde, in the north of Portugal, has recently announced a partnership with Swarovski, which has been receiving great attention from the Middle East.
