Manolo Blahnik expands in Asia
New stores to open in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia

The internationally claimed footwear designer and his namesake brand are ready to initiate an expansion in Asia. The company has partnered with Bluebell, a luxury importer which will hold the distribution rights and manage retail development in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.

Manolo Blahnik new stores’ launch is expected to be timed with the shoe designer’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection. As a partner in this expansion venture, Bluebell will assist the designer’s label to establish corners in leading department stores.

The store in Japan will be designed by Nick Leith-Smith Architecture and Design and should be be ready in 2017. The 1Manolo Blahnik standalone store in Malaysia will be located within the Pavilion Mall in Kuala Lumpur.

Although Manolo Blahnik is a global brand, it has a reduced presence in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore, and hence why the brand is expanding into that Asian region.
