Kevin Plank donates 5 million US dollars to the Baltimore community
Under Armour's CEO donation is aimed to the new East Baltimore community center. The US-based footwear giant is also contributing with 1.3 million US dollars
As reported, Kevin Plank will donate 5 million US dollars from its Plank’s Cupid Foundation. The funds will be redirected to renovate the recreation center at 1100 E. Fayette St, adding more than 10 000 square feet to the facility, and creating new areas (turf field, dance and yoga space, recording studio, kitchen, classroom for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Under Armour is also donating $1.275 million to support activities at the center.

“We have been active in our community for many years, working with schools, families, hospitals and first responders,” Plank said in a statement. “Now, more than ever, we need to double down on that commitment. Baltimore is our home, and we will always show up and do our part”.
