Inditex posts first-half sales growth

The parent company of brands such as Zara and Pull&Bear, reported a 7.6% increase in sales during the first half of the year, driven by solid demand from customers for its spring/summer collections

First-Half Results
In the first half of the 2026 financial year, the company reported total sales of 19.8 billion euros, reflecting a 7.6% increase (or a 9.2% increase on a constant currency basis) compared to the same period last year.According to the statement, the spring/summer collections were very well received by customers, with satisfactory development in both stores (5,444 at the end of the period) and online.
Inditex reported an 8.3% rise in gross profit in the period, compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 11.6 billion euros. The gross margin improved by 40 basis points year-on-year to reach 40%.
The fashion group’s EBITDA totalled 5.5 billion euros in the first half of the year, reflecting a 7.8% year-on-year growth. EBIT grew by 7.6%, reaching 3.8 billion euros. PBT also totalled 3.8 billion euros, reflecting a 6.8% year-on-year growth, with the PBT margin standing at 19.5%.
In the six months ending on the 31st of July, Inditex recorded a net income of 3.0 billion euros, which represents an increase of 6.8% compared to the same period a year ago.
Third Quarter-to-Date Sales
The Spanish group noted that, between the 1st of August and the 7th of September, sales in both stores and online maintained a growth trajectory on a constant currency basis, increasing by 9% compared to the same period in 2025.Image Credits: whowhatwear.com
