Eduardo Calabuig named new General Manager of Inescop

The Footwear Technology Centre Inescop, based in Spain, has confirmed the appointment of Eduardo Calabuig as its new General Manager. He brings over 18 years of experience in the technology sector to the role
With a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Alicante, Calabuig began his career as a researcher in the CAD/CAM department of Inescop, where he worked on the development of 3D computer-aided footwear design software. In 2018, he took on the role of Subdirector of the Advanced Manufacturing division, leading consultancy activities for companies related to new technologies and Industry 4.0.
Finnally, in November 2024, he was appointed General Manager by the Governing Board and last January his position was ratified by the Assembly of Members. According to the centre, he will provide continuity to the centre’s strategy, with research and development as key pillars. “Our mission is to stay close to companies and create value for them by transferring knowledge and technologies,” Calabuig stated.
Founded in 1971, Inescop has a multidisciplinary team of more than 120 professionals who are committed to the centre’s mission of being a strategic ally for footwear and related companies, offering solutions, knowledge and innovative technologies to improve their competitiveness.
Calabuig also emphasised that the new management team is committed to continuous improvement. “Improvement is our goal: improving quality of life, the environment, and the present and future of the footwear industry”, through ethics, transparency, and sustainability.
