Each year the third year Footwear students are invited by Church & Co to apply for the Church’s Scholarship., which includes a competition brief, in-depth factory tour, presentation and work placements. The successful students receive support for their final major footwear collection.

As this year the concepts were "so strong" four footwear students from the University of Northampton have been awarded the sponsorship and will have the chance to have their own shoe designs made up into finished product.

Heather Jenkinson, Laura Pickering, Stacie Franks and Adele Jolley, third year students on the university’s BA (Hons) Footwear programme were all working on their final-year collections and applied to take part in a competition organised each year by Church.
